K12 Online Conference is Climbing

I was just shocked when I quickly scanned the listing of conferences registered on Hitchhikr.  The list is sorted by popularity.  The conferences viewed the most are at the top and the ones seen the least are at the bottom.  The top listings are fairly static, because conference page viewings usually peek right after the event and then stablize.  What surprised me was that the K12 Online Conference is now at the top.  It is just barely behind Alan November’s Building Learning Communities and still a distant third to the National Educational Computing Conference.

  1. This doesn’t surprise me at all. In between building flat packed furniture this morning. I have been listening to some of the K12 Online presentations that I missed during the past couple of weeks. I have just really enjoyed Graham Wegner presentation on “No Teacher Left Behind – The Urgency Of Web 2.0″. It lead me to Mr Noons ‘Tell the Raven’ web site in Fairbanks, Alaska where I was able to leave a comment for one of his class about my own adventures in Alaska. The quality of the presentations and discussions surrounding the K12 conference has been outstanding. This was of course kicked off by your goodself with a great opening keynote (love the bit in the pack by the way when you get questioned by members of the public – brought a smile to my face!) Keep inspiring, Ollie.

  2. David,

It surprises (and thrills) me as well! I so enjoyed chatting with you in Rachel Murphy’s moderated Skypecast during the When Night Falls culminating event for the K12 Online Conference. I spent 5 minutes with you and picked up three powerful ideas I will utlize in the work I do with teachers in my network.

Thanks again for all you gave to make this conference a success. We are in awe of all you give and do.
