Pluto is now a verb. If you’ve been plutoed, then you have been demoted, degraded, or dumped.

It is my understanding, from National Geographic’s current issue, Pluto (former planet) and Ceres (former asteroid) and a couple of other former asteroids now fall under the designation of Minor Planet, not asteroid.
I am immensely sad about Pluto’s fate…one of my favorite Christine Lavin songs deals with the history of its rise to fame!
