From High Atop Cadillac Mountain

From Cadillac MountainBrenda and I are enjoying a one-day vacation near Bar Harbor, Maine.  It is beautiful here, especially in Acadia National Park.  We are even more anxious to find a way to spend some time in the Maritimes.

I’ll drop Brenda off at the Bangor Airport in the few hours, and then head back over to Castine for another gig — a curriculum conference with Maine teachers.  More about that later…

  1. Dave,

I grew up in Maine, go to Acadia every summer and got married just across the harbor from Castine. I’m hoping to sneak out of suburbia, CT in a couple of weeks to get up there myself. I hope that you didn’t get lost at the airport in Bangor. It’s enormous…

  2. Hi David – I’m in your session right now and you just called our attention to your blog. I’m from the Bar Harbor area originally. So since you mentioned getting over to the Maritime Provinces, I wanted to make sure you know about the ferries.
Portland, ME or Bar Harbor, ME to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia
Saint John, New Brunswick to Digby, Nova Scotia (also Nova Scotia to Newfoundland)

Bon voyage! And thanks for a great keynote and two great sessions!
